Signs I'm in Portland, not Texas:
- reset all of my clocks to PST
- took the keys to my Waco house off of my key ring
- pulled out my gloves and scarfs
- set Oregon NPR on my radio
- can't satisfy my mexican food cravings
- enjoyed the scenic drive to work
- experience traffic and get lost frequently
- conciously said "you guys" instead of "y'all"
- receive comments on my "accent"
Down the Road...
"What is that feeling when you're driving away from people and they recede on the plain till you see their specks dispersing? — it's the too-huge world vaulting us, and it's good-by. But we lean forward to the next crazy venture beneath the skies."
- Jack Kerouac
